Three ingredients. Toss. Cook. Eat.

My apologies for my lack of blogging last week. My family and I had a birthday celebration for my grandfather last weekend. At the party we ate barbecue, fried chicken, potato salad, macaroni and cheese. The food was delicious! There was plenty of leftovers, we took some of that food back home with us. It was really nice to not have to cook for a few days.

I am back once again to what I love and do best. To start things off I want to share with you an incredibly easy recipe called Crockpot Ranch Pork chops. It only calls for three ingredients. Yes! You read that right! Just three ingredients.

These ranch flavored pork chops are practically like heaven! The recipe is so delicious and easy to make that it will become one of your favorites!

Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops


4-6 boneless pork chops

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 packet dry ranch dressing mix


In a crockpot layer pork chops, pour the cream of chicken soup, then pour dry Ranch dressing all over.

Cover and cook on high for four hours or low for six hours.

Homemade Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup

Are you allergic to gluten or just simply trying to eat healthier by cutting out gluten entirely? But you still would like to enjoy the same delicious foods without feeling uncomfortable or ruining your diet. Well then don’t I have the perfect solution to your dilemma.

I recommend that you add this condensed cheddar cheese soup to any recipe that calls for the soup rather than using the ones that you find at your local grocery store. I recommend you adding this soup to Slow Cooker Beefy Nacho Soup.

Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup Substitute


3 Tbsp butter

3 Tbsp flour

1 C milk

1 1/2 C cheese, freshly shredded


1. Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a medium saucepan. Combine the flour and whisk together until smooth. Slowly add the milk and continue whisking while bringing mixture to a gentle boil.

3. Once it thickens slightly, add cheese and stir until melted. Let the mixture cool down thoroughly. Pour it into an airtight container and it in the fridge.

Something smells delicious

This past weekend I made this tasty recipe called Pesto Parmesan Pork Chops.

Wow! Let me tell you that it was almost like my nose was trying to eat the smell of the pork chops because after placing

these chops into my oven to let them bake the aroma from the pesto and the chops instantly made my kitchen smell so good!

Here’s a little surprise for y’all! You ONLY need three ingredients for these flavorful Pesto Parmesan Pork Chops.What more could you ask for?

I recommend this Sautéed Mushrooms & Galore for the side dish.

Pesto Parmesan Pork Chops


6-8 pork chops of your choice, I used boneless

8 Tbsp pesto sauce

1 C shredded Parmesan cheese

Salt and Pepper


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.

1. Shake salt and pepper on the bottom of a large cookie sheet (the kind that has a lip around the edge so juices won’t spill off.) Place pork chops down an inch or two apart. Lightly season each pork chop with salt and pepper.

2. Spread one tablespoon of pesto sauce on each pork chop. I like to put the spoonful on each pork chop before I start spreading so I don’t risk putting a contaminated spoon back in the pesto jar since I will have pesto leftover.

3. Once Pesto is spread evenly on the top of each pork chop sprinkle them generously with the shredded Parmesan cheese.

4. Place the seasoned pork chops in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for forty five-sixty minutes. Depending on how thick the pork chops are they may need the whole sixty minutes.

Birthday celebration and Buffalo Chicken

I had a real nice and relaxing birthday celebration with my family. We didn’t do anything except for eating. We consumed Chick-fil-A and Torchy’s Tacos and for dessert cupcakes

I am going to be sharing with you Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Wings as I promised. I too had intended to make cucumber salad but I unfortunately didn’t have any cucumbers. Yes, I realized that I could have made a trip to the grocery store but I didn’t feel like it. Do you feel that way too sometimes?

So I decided to make the salad next week instead.

I want say Thank You so very much for your patience with me and the fact that I have not been blogging as much as I usually do.

Anyway, I made a few changes to this crockpot recipe. The first thing I did was to use thighs that I had stored in freezer because I didn’t have any wings. Then I made a change to the liquid. My choice was to use vegetable broth instead of beer because I didn’t have any in my pantry.

Since I made a change to the liquid I actually became nervous about how this recipe was going to turn out. But to my surprise the taste of the chicken went above and beyond my expectations. It was incredibly moist and juicy. Not to mention that it wasn’t to overwhelming spicy.

Do you love Wings and want a super easy way to satisfy your craving without the hassle of cooking them and sweating in your hot kitchen? Well how about you give these Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Wings a try. You will not be disappointed!

Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Wings


12-14 whole chicken wings or thighs1¼ c Frank’s Hot Sauce (or favorite hot sauce), divided

1¼ c butter, divided

1 C Chicken or vegetable broth


1. Cut chicken in half. Place chicken in crock pot. In a medium saucepan melt one cup of butter and add one cup of hot sauce and stir until completely combined. Stir one cup of broth into sauce. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on LOW for six-seven hours or HIGH for three-four hours.

2. Turn on your broiler. Melt ¼ cup butter into ¼ cup hot sauce and stir until well combined. Spread wings out evenly on a broiler pan and coat generously with sauce

3. Place wings in broiler for four-five minutes, checking constantly so they don’t burn.

A Simple Recipe Packed With Flavor

This brown sugar pork chop recipe is excellent for those of you who don't prefer to cook recipes that require ten or more ingredients. They too are full of delicious flavors. Depending on how long you cook your pork chops in the oven the brown sugar will caramelize and even form a crispy crust if you broil them in your oven for two-four minutes.

Brown Sugar Pork Chops


1/3 C brown sugar
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
4 boneless or bone-in pork chops


Preheat oven to 350F. Lay a sheet of foil or parchment paper onto a baking dish and grease it with cooking spray.

1. Combine in a small mixing bowl the brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
Rub the brown sugar mixture on all sides of each pork chop. Place your pork chops on the foil or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake them for thirty-five minutes to an hour or until internal temperature reaches at least 150 degrees.

I have been slacking a little on doing my weekly reviews. I wanted to bring you up to date on what I have been cooking within the past few weeks.

Not all recipes are overwhelming 

This summer, it will be two years since I officially started cooking. I think I should celebrate because I have had to overcome a lot of fears/trials to get this far in cooking. I think it’s extremely awesome because I now want to teach others who are dealing with the same challenges that I had to conquer how to cook.

With only 4 ingredients, yes you have read that right, this broccoli cheese chicken bake has just four ingredients. Isn’t that awesome? This recipe brings all the delicious flavor of comfort food into a dinner that is almost too simple to make on a busy weeknight!

Broccoli Cheese Chicken Bake Recipe


3-4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts                                                                                                       1 Campbell’s Oven Sauce: Cheesy Broccoli Chicken                                                                                                 4 Cups Frozen Broccoli Florets                                                                                                                         6 oz. Cheddar Cheese, shredded


Preheat the oven at 400F Line a 9X13 baking dish with foil and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Set aside

1. Place the chicken breasts flat on the bottom of the baking dish. Pour the frozen broccoli florets onto the chicken breasts. Spread the package of the Campbell’s Oven Sauce evenly over the top of the broccoli. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top of the sauce.

2. Place the baking dish on the middle rack in your preheated oven for forty-five – sixty minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Depending on your oven, altitude and thickness of the chicken breasts this could be more or less time.

3. Check the chicken throughout to make sure that the top is not too brown, if you don’t want it to get any more browned, then place a piece of foil loosely over the top for the remainder of the cooking time. Serve over rice, pasta, or greens and enjoy!
